Spending some more itme on my T61p here, and I'm loving it more and more. Even on 1 GB of RAM, the T9300 really just powers through everything I've thrown at it. However, as I keep installing my kit of software for basic usage, I have a question as to the proper way to defragment. Should I keep the diskeeper software that came preloaded on my T61p, or uninstall it? It would make sense to uninstall it, but I'm not sure whether or not I will need it later.

Second question is whether or not my T61p has an infrared port. The space around the firewire port in the front would lead me to think so, but an attempt to send a file from my PDA failed to work. Am I right in assuming the T61p does not have an IR port?

We've had a lot of discussions on defragmenting. I am big on doing that. The diskeeper software is good. if I remember it correctly, it doesn't tell you a whole lot. Windows also has a defragmenter. On XP it showed more information than it does in Vista. Vista SP1 will enhance the performance. The point is, you do have choice.

I've never seen IR on a t61p and mine doesn't have it. I didn't know it was an option.
