Just got off the phone with Lenovo, ordered the T60 WS, so I thought I'd share what my experience was like for anyone that's thinking of buying or is just curious. :)

    Hold time

My first thought after dialing their number was one of "Hmm, clear options, and good automated phone volume" (ever call a company and have trouble understanding even what the auto voice thingy is saying?).

Hold time was minimal (exceptionally short when compared to some, and shorter than what I was expecting), about 3-4 minutes. Oh, and they have decent hold music. :p

    The actual ordering process

The rep I talked to was *gasp* clear and easy to understand. :D
She was able to pull up a quote I had made earlier without me even having to give the quote number (just phone #), a nice touch. Ran through the specs with me to make sure everything was correct, it was. I then asked if they could do an order with the purchase price spanned over two cards, and they could (nice convenience for me at the moment). Took care of the necessary info, she had a little bit of trouble with the system not carrying over the SPP authorization code to the quote, but that was quickly taken care of.

After about another 10 minutes total on hold (on and off as she had to remake the config because of the SPP thing), the order was then completed.

    Conclusion

Overall, a very nice experience with sales; quick, friendly, knowledgeable, and able to take care of the ordering process, quirks and all. I couldn't reasonably have asked for a smoother process to get the order placed.

Anyway, my initial impression throughout the buying process is one of excellence. I'm optimistic that this same level of service holds true of Lenovo's tech support as well, although hopefully I won't have a need to contact them in the future if everything goes well. :D

Oh, and thanks a ton to whomever posted the SPP deal thread, saved a nice amount going through that. ^^

It has been my experience that sales is usually better than support at most companies. I have always had good interactions with ThinkPad Support.
