    Anything indicating 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300/5400) will work. So in this case, yes.

Are you guys sure the T61p will support RAM with a latency this low? I talked to a technician at TigerDirect and he told me that the laptop has to support low latency RAM in order for it to be compatible..

Also, where can I get RAM with 4-4-4-12 timing in Canada? Anyone know?

    Thanks!

No clue, but I assure if you buy it off newegg it will run fine, I purchased the A-Data 4GB kit, received it in 2 days, installed it and my computer runs like a champ.

Does your RAM have low latencies as well? Is it running at 4-4-4-12?

Also, Newegg doesn't ship to Canada :(

anyone know where to find 4-4-4-12 latency 667mhz RAM in Canada?
Are you guys sure RAM with timings that low will work in a T61p? Was the technician wrong?

Sorry, I don't mean to be annoying, but I have to get this stuff tomorrow, so I need some answers! Thanks!

Dunno if you have tried them yet, but there's always NCIX...

I didn't care about the latencies when I bought my RAM, I just went for whatever was cheapest. Which is probably what 98% of most people here do, I'm willing to bet.

Here's the snap of my CPU-Z, it didn't specify the CAS but I really didn't care for it honestly. Can't wait for 64-bit. :)

Ace - 'will work', and 'will take advantage of' are two different issues. The lower latency ram will work just fine in your machine - but it probably will not run at the lower latencies, with the bus locked at 667 mhz and the voltage fixed. Usually you have to overvolt the low-latency ram to get the max performance. TP bios doesnt support overvolting ram. This is like installing 800 mhz ram in your TP. It is spec'ed to run at 800, but it will not, because your bus is locked to 667. The ram can always run slower, but not always faster, than specs.

Thanks so much, that's the answer I was looking for!
I knew about the speed thing, I didn't know the same was true for latencies.. Thanks!
