    Hello.

I have decided on buying a SL400, but I am confused about warranty. I have tried to get extended warranty and accidental damage coverage, but it seems I can only have one or the other. Or does Accidental damage also include extended hardware warranty?

    "
    Warranty service upgrades

Get the best service for your new Idea Pad - extend or upgrade your hardware service coverage beyond its system's standard warranty term. Combining Lenovo Accidental Damage Protection with your extended At Home warranty service helps protect your PC in case of unplanned expenses. Gain peace of mind by getting the best protection package for your new Lenovo Idea Pad."

And then there is also this:

    "
Warranty service upgrades plus Accidental Damage Protection

Lenovo Care Protection Services and warranty service upgrades help protect your product purchase in case of accidental damages, such as drops or falls, liquid spills and LCD damage. Include a warranty service upgrade with your protection service and gain peace of mind by proactively avoiding potential costly repairs down the road."

It would seem really weird to only offer one or the other, but I still want to make sure...

    Thanks for reading :)

I thought the same thing, but when I asked on their forums, I got weird answers:

    http://forums.lenovo.com/lnv/board/message?board.id=Options&thread.id=274

"What's not to understand? You can have one or the other or both. You can extend the base warranty, or you can add Accidental Damage Protection, or you can do both, extend the base warranty AND add Accidental Damage Protection."

    Oy, so frustrating :(

Spending so much money (At least for me it is), and just wanna be extra sure :(

EDIT: Got it figured out. Another mod posted and confirmed what you said.

    Thanks a ton!
