I just got my R500, and am liking it pretty well. However, I'm really sick of the constant loud beeping. Close the lid..it beeps. Open the lid...it beeps. Plug it in...it beeps. Unplug it...it beeps. Is there a setting in the BIOS or some other config program to turn off the incesant beeping?

Yeah, there is a setting in the bios to turn off the beeping, I forget what its called but I'm sure that you can find it easily.

There's a setting in the BIOS makes it beep when the power state changes. You may turn it off. I don't find it as annoying as you, but I turned it off too.

Great, thanks. I'll have to poke at it when I get home.

I think you can also control the setting in Power Manager.
