This is the 2nd time im having problems with their USB ports.First, time under warranty i had my whole motherboard replace because of a power surge in the USB port.
Problems occur when you plug in usb devices and take them out. After a while, the inside of the port, where the 4 line connectors are located, breaks and gets tangled up, causing a power surge.
Lenovo wont help me as im out of warranty.
Im sure others will have the same problem, due to its faulty design.I want to get it repair, but want another MB put in as im 100% sure if they same usb ports are put in, I will have the same problems.
Any else have similar problems?Im thinking of going to one of their business partners. But feel they are incompetent are just gave me another fault usb port design.
How the hell can they not test their ports with the design?I know its not a coincident it happen twice after getting my 2nd motherboard replace. Can I take this case to Lenovo? Any advice appreciated.
Right now, two of my three USB ports arent working, the only reason the other one is working is because thats my usb mouse port, i never take it out. This is BS, what garbage system. I expected way more from them.Never will buy another system from them.

there would no recall as such, since the rate of failure is quite low. This is probably more related to a batch then the whole R500 line up. In which case, you would lucky if they would fix it free at Lenovo.

Maybe you should post this at Lenovo.com forum.

Mark asked you to send him a PM. You can't get any better support than that.
