Most of the R-series machines being sold on Lenovo's Canadian website are R51 models, does anyone know when the R52s are going to replace the R51s in Canada?

Also, I would like to know if IBM is going to have a good promotion/discount during the coming Christmas shopping season. Unlike manufactuers like Dell, who have big sales events almost every week, the price for a thinkpad seems to be very stable.

    Hi.
Well I dunno much about canda but I bought this machine (R52) & really loved it, expect its display ( 15" XGA LCD ) which is not so sharp .
If you want to order one take one with SXGA display or higher i suggest & always remember you are buying an IBM :buyIBM:
& one thing else  dont forget that IBM doesnt look sooo good @ all, Other brands work on the shape & good looking and it is what IBM never cares about ... lol

By the way, thinking of buying a thinkpad is a right decision if you know its disadvantages ( LCD & appearance )

    Regards.

    Shahab.
