This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     R52 recovery cds?

    i recently bought an R52 with out any recovery cds. I apologize if this isn't a kosher request, but would it be ok for someone to burn copies of recovery cd's and mail them to me? I can pay you for shipping? I don't know how to contact the previous owner anymore to ask about the cd's and can't find them on ebay.

    sorry, i should have elaborated. the military firewall i'm behind won't allow me to access ebay.

    not easy to call stateside. if i use an XP OEM cd that won't restore any of the ibm software, i think some of those files are corrupt. i'd like to do a complete wipe/reinstall

    Well you could wipe it with a XP OEM disc which will restore fully and then you could download the drivers and software from IBM's site.

    i cannot burn recovery discs. my boot is corrupt and windows won't come up and i never got the cd's with it.
