Hi, in the R52 thinkpad, which function key do I press to access BIOS Settings?
I'm attempting to learn Linux, so would like to set the laptop to boot from CD.

There seems to be a blackout on info. related to older thinkpads.

Hit F12. That'll get you the boot menu. You can hit F1 too, which will take you to the BIOS where you can change things permanently.

If you end up following the F1 route and changing the settings in BIOS, don't forget to press F10 once you're done, to save the changes and exit.

    Thanks guys.

Actually the F10 did not work, so I just kept clicking ESC, and upon final EXIT it offered a message stating "your config. was not saved, do you want to save? Yes/No"

Problem is, that upon clicking YES
    ...and then Rebooting:

It booted to XP instead of requesting me to insert my CD into D:drive

Have you tried the F12 option?

I probably needed to insert the Linux CD in the D: drive prior to bootup, which I plan to try next.
