Here are three options and I would like to know which one is best for my needs. I want a dedicated video card however I am a light gamer.
14 inch
1.66 core duo
512 667 ram
60 gb hd
ATI X1300 64 mb
$1152
14 inch
1.66 core duo
512 667 ram
60 gb hd
ATI X1400 128 mb
$1282
14 inch
1.66 core duo
512 667 ram
100 gb hd
Ati X1400 128 mb
$1336
As you can see the differences between these models are the hd and video card. On my desktop I am using 37 gb with everything I need. Do I need to have the 100 gb instead of the 60 gb hd?
In addition, is there a noticeable difference between the 64 mb X1300 and 128 mb X1400? I believe its not that big of a difference espeically since I only play counterstrike online. Basically between the first two models the difference is $130 for the upgrade to the X1400. Is it worth $130 for my needs? Would the difference in battery life be huge between the two cards?
Finally if your all wondering where Im getting these prices their at Costcentral.com. Anyone have experiences with this company? Is it reputable? Are there any other online stores that offer these models for the same or less price? I have looked and havent found any as cheap as this store.
I know I posted this in the "which notebook I should buy" section but I thought since most of you guys who post hear own IBM notebooks you might have more knowledge.

Would be good... 100gb is to much for me because I have a 160gb ide hard drives X 2, 200 gb maxtor X 2,80 gb x 2... BUt if you don't have a lot of storage go to 100gb...
ALSO I would recommend you get the 2.0 ghz instead of 1.66... You could also wait for the Santa Rosa Platform.... (I would) unless you really needed a laptop..
Never heard of that company but i am also in canada... -
You can get a T series for that price at CostCentral with the rebate sans the x1400.

Are you sure? I cant seem to find it.

Would I lie to you? There is one here with the SXGA+ screen for $1150 after $200 rebate. There is one more here with the 1.83GHz and DVD burner here for $1240. Though the rebate is not listed on the second one, the machine types start the same 2623 though you may want to ask before spending you money. There are also others with the XGA screen and combo drive that are even cheaper after rebate. CostCentral has decent ratings on Pricegabber and ResellerRatings. I personally have not bought from them. One thing to consider, CostCentral's return policy clearly states returns are not accepted in any case, only exchanges for defective items. Should you get one with a dead/stuck pixel or two you own it. Dead/stuck pixels are not considered defective unless there are a lot. You might want to consider Buy.com which does allow for returns unless otherwise stated on the webpage, but it will be a bit more expensive. Again, you may want to ask before parting with your money. Good Luck.

Do alot of people get stuck/dead pixels with their new thinkpads? While these problems are going to happen I was under the impression they were very rare with IBM.

They are the bane of the LCD industry. Everyone gets them including ThinkPads. I have seen ThinkPads with them though my T42 does not have any. They are a personal thing. I have some on both my desktop LCDs. It doesn't bother me as I only see them when the screen is black. It drives some people crazy.
