    Hi all, first time poster.

I intend to buy a Thinkpad R60 - the 9461DXG model, with a 15" SXGA+ screen. On IBM's site it is mentioned that the screen can be either a Samsung ( 13N7128) or an LG-Philips ( 13N7130). Does anybody know the actual models that these FRU numbers correspond to? Based on the information on the Samsung/LG-Philips sites, the screen might be a Samsung LTN150P4 or LTN150PG, or an LG-Philips LP150E06 or LP150E07. The problem is that each of these screens has different specs, that's why I was interested in the exact models. Also, not all models are listed on the Samsung/LG-Philips sites.

If you've got a 15" SXGA+ R60 (preferably bought recently), could you please check what screen you have?

    Thanks.

    Thanks, adwoodw.
I had the impression though that the IBM site would also report the screen model, not only the FRU number; it seems I was wrong. Could you please tell me what monitor you have in "Display Properties"? If it only says "Plug and play monitor" or "Generic television", please go to Device Manager -> Monitors -> Plug and play monitor -> Properties -> Details, choose Hardware Ids from the list, and tell me what's written below - it should be something like "Monitor\xxxxxxx".

In device manager, I get 4 instances of hardware appearing under monitors:

    default monitor
    default monitor
    generic televison
    Thinkpad Display 1400 x 1050

....and under each category as follows:

    display\default_monitor\5&271192ed&0&00000100&01&00
    same as above
    display\pnp09fe\5&27119ed&0&00000200&01&00
    display\len4042\5&271192ed&0&00000110&01&00

Unfortunately all the codes are generic ones and "len4042" seems to be the id of the graphics board. However, I did some additional search using this last code and found a page where someone was mentioning the model of the LG-Philips screen (LP150E07-TL03). Then I managed to find on another page the Samsung screen model (LTN150PF-L03). It seems to be pretty difficult though to find the exact specs of these screens, as they are missing from the official sites; I emailed Samsung and LG-Philips asking for more information.

    Thanks, again.

I don't have an R60 SXGA+, but for other models that we got for work, even if they are identical models and built on the same day, the parts inside could be completely random. The only way to be sure is to do a parts lookup on the website.
