I'm in the market for a laptop to keep in my office. I'm looking at the N100 07682CU, wonderful features but I hesitate because I'm not a fan of the glossy screen and it's not a Thinkpad. The R60, smaller screen but not glossy, no fingerprint reader(my last laptop was stolen out of the office), a bit more expensive, and it is a Thinkpad. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

R60 would be much better if you're not a fan of wide screen.
R60 has much better build quality(Rollcage and stuff), bettery life,
thinklight, better keyboard, trackpoint, and so on.
You said there's no Fingerprint reader on R60-not true. some models DOES
    have a Fingerprint reader.
Even though Lenovo makes both R60 and N100, N100 has totally different
construction. I saw the tear down photos of both laptops and I think
    R60 - IBM, N100 - Lenovo(not related to thinkpad except the software).
I'm not an anti Lenovo but I think N100 is just a good chinese laptop.
You can't compare it to the legendary thinkpad.

Both the R and the n100 are well built notebooks, but they are not as good as the T. There is the Z series which is as stiff as a board.

I have a 14" N100, and the glossy screen on it is not nearly as reflective as other glossy screens. In fact, it is probably a perfect balance between glossy and matte.

And I can tell you that the N100 is very well put together. I have never had a ThinkPad, so I cannot compare, but it is definitely head and shoulders above most consumer laptops. Keyboard is nice, and it is very quiet. I haven't messed with the battery life yet, mainly because I bought the book for my wife, and she is always using it.
