There are so many posts here praising X, T and Z series. I am sure if I had them, I would probably do the same. Since I could not afford those "fancy" ones, I guess there isn't a whole lot I can say about them.

    BUT.

I got a new R60, and I absolutely love that machine! Thanks to those in this forum who suggested this great laptop. It's quiet, cool, and fast. I've had it for about a month and half, and so far it appears very dependable. A great value for the price I paid for. :D

P.S. Apparently, and admittedly, I cannot spell.

For some who need a solid laptop that works, the R60 is a great choice.

Yeah I've got my fingers crossed hoping my future about-to-be-delivered R60 will be up to what I xpect when it comes to battery life, portability, and business pusposes. :)

I'm glad to hear you are satisfied though. It's a sigh of relief in this money market world. A world where prototypes of crappy computers are released -- thank you HP --erherm...lol

R60 has great keyboard, solid build and the Thinkvantage software is really useful - particularly the Rescue and Recovery stuff which is a dream!

Congrats on your purchase! I'm seriously considering the R60 myself.

What battery and graphics card did you get and what kind of battery life do you get out of it?

I have the 14" with the Intel card. With the screen on four and WiFi on, I get a little over three hours on the six cell. You can get the modular or nine cell batteries if you need more time

My R60 has 14" XGA screen with intel card. With 9 Cell, with a regular use, I get some 6.5 hours (or at least that is what the indicator shows... but I think it is a bit less, but not much less), with intermittent wifi use.

Great machine. I am happy with my purchase.

    Congratulations on your purchase.

Even though i am not really appeal on the design, R60 spread durability in its looks.

And, to my surprise, some of my colleagues and senior management use it too. Who said business always need light and thin?
