R60e PITA problem

Hi Everyone,

Just wanting to trouble shoot a problem with you all, This is the second time this has happened and I'm finding it very annoying.
I own and R60e, about four months ago I tried to log in as normal (Through security client) only to find out it ran extremely slow, to the point that it would take at least 5 mins to reach the windows splash screen. Windows would not load past the desktop picture (no task bar nor icons), From this point the laptop just hangs and no HDD activity is detected apart from the intermittent HDD LED light, the mouse pointer acts normally.

I tried running thinkvantage rescue and recovery to diagnose the problem but there seemed to be nothing wrong. I tried several times to log on as usual, to no avail the machine was too slow. - The solution was to re load on of my back ups which solved the problem….or so I thought.

Last week it happened again, I followed the same steps as above to no avail, this time I tried to load my previous back (same as above) but I got the same problem that it would not load past the desktop picture, so I had to reset to factory settings to solve the problem.

Can anyone help me out to figure whats going on, its very annoying and I want to get to the bottom of this issue so it doesn't happen again.

Any help would be extremely appreciated.
