    R61 Blueray drive

    My R61 dvd rom drive is not reading properly. I'm thinking of upgrading to Blurray drive.

    Pls. suggest me a good blueray read only drive for my R61.

    The only one that will work is the Lenovo part 43N3200 due to the connector issue and they're kind of expensive unless you get lucky like I did on eBay. I think there was someone over on ThinkPads.com who was selling the drive pretty cheap here. Which GPU do you have?

    I'd recommend just going with a DVD writer. Far cheaper. Blu-ray discs are hard on battery life, and IMO, aren't really worth the extra cost of the player.
