I've been looking around and I can't seem to find whether or not these R60 batteries on ebay will fit the R61i. Anyone have any insight on this?

I wouldn't risk using third party batteries anyway. Some bad ones have been known to explode on people, damaging the laptop and injuring the person.

I know I bought a third party battery for my ibook and it is extremely suspect. Sometimes it charges sometimes it doesnt. Too big of a headache to save a few bucks. I know I will be going first party from here on out.

i have had good luck with some aftermarket batteries. make sure you use one of the larger online retailers instead of ebay. i use battdepot and have had no problems. my lenovo 6 cell is definetely of no better quality or fitment than a good aftermarket. the lenovo is very loose and can be wiggled around with the battery clipped in. as stated above some really are junk and dangerous, but most of the cells come from the same few manufacturers anyway.

I bought a 3rd party 9 cell. I have been using it for a little over a month now. Still works great and has almost full capacity. TBH, if I had the money, I would have went with a genuine Lenovo 6 cell - there would have been a warranty on the genuine battery.

most places have a 1 year warranty on aftermarket batteries, i would not risk it otherwise.
