How is the sound on R61? With earbuds, is the sound loud enough when watching movies? I used to have x31 thinkpad and the sound volume was always low. Happy overall with the R61?

With earbuds the sound is fine. The internal speakers on the other hand....

    ...aren't really bad at all.

Don't know about earbuds but I just installed Rosetta Stone and attached their USB-based combination headphones and microphone. Holy cr@p! They were so loud it almost blew my head off... had to go into the volume control applet and drop the level to almost nil.
