I bought my R61 two weeks ago and found its wireless works strangely (not works) today when I tried it first time.

I was able to connect to internet through router. The wireless shut off itself (the wireless light went off) in a few minutes without notice. I had to turn on the wireless and connect again, and it sometime just not wanted to re-connect. I tried to set the wireless to connect automatically when computer start up, which caused a nightmare of frozen machine (full usage of CPU).

Anybody has the same problem? My R61 14" has the standard wireless adapter.

Your help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Might be a faulty wireless card you have. I would call up Lenovo and see what they can do about it. When I merely hinted at a small nuisance with my wireless capabilities they sent me a new wireless card for me right away just to make sure the hardware wasn't having any problems. So I imagine it will be VERY easy for you to get a replacement from them, especially since you are on warranty.

Also, they consider wireless cards "throw away" parts, so they really don't mind hooking you up with a new one.

I thought it would just be some setting issue in system. I would just call them if I don't need to send back the machine since I am leaving pretty soon for a one month vacation. Thanks for advice :)
