Anyone know if the wireless card in the R61e is upgradable? And if so, what's the best choice to replace it with please?

you can upgrade to Intel AGN.

If u plan to use this machine for a very long time, and sharing files between computers via new wireless N router, you can order AGN. Otherwise, the N network won't give you much advantage than G, since most DSL are not that fast and consider that the G router will be stay in most places for many years.

Mine is a R61e 7650-83M so already has AGN. I assume this is the best?
