My lappy is running almost nonstop, with few hours maintenance time, when im shutting it off.

Sometimes it just goes off by itself. Screen turns off it self.. Well its actually running, fans are cooling, but I cant get it back to life any other way except just by pushing power off button.. Anyone have idea whats happening with it ? Happens very rarely, but still it can be annoying..

Other thing to ask: whats that symbol just between battery and hdd lights. Looks like circled big Z.

    thx

When you ran your laptop for the first time did it behave the same way? Maybe there's a software issue, probably the Thinkpad Power Management driver that makes the laptop unresponsive when the screen goes off, etc.
Have you tried doing a clean recovery install of Windows??

The Circled big Z indicates the laptop is powered on.

A few hours is not long enough to legitimately expect a response. 24 hours is required to pass before bumping your thread as per forum rules. You might want to brush up. You do agree to these rules when creating an account.

t30power@ As said it only happens very occasionally, so I cant tell whether or not it did behave that way, coz it happened about three times up till now. Still tho I have lost my work, coz I needed to shut it off. I have done complete laptop recovery with thinkvanatge already and installed it all again w/o some bloatware..

Zaz@ I do agree it seems kind of quick bumping, but in few hours topic can be easily swept away to the third page. So rules should not depend on time, but on from which page you are actually bringing topic up. However you right I broke rules ;(
