I bought a new 1G stick of RAM for my T61. Followed the instructions in the manual, and after successfully placing in the RAM, and starting up the computer, I got a blue screen error, "Page_fault_in_non paged_area" followed by an automatic restart of the system. This happened just before entering windows XP.

I removed the new stick and everything worked fine. Is there something I'm doing wrong or should I return the RAM?

Also, the RAM that I purchased had the following specs:
    DDR II 667/533, PC2 5300/4200, 200 Pin.

I would try reinstalling and see what happens. Maybe also try switching the dimm slot and see what happens. Improperly installed ram will do weird things. If you are confident that it was 100% installed correctly, then see if you can exchange for a new dimm.
