I'm considering the purchase of a T60p and have a question about RAM options. Online one can upgrade the RAM to 1GB without breaking the bank. You could buy a used car for the cost of going up to 2GB RAM. However, you can buy a 1GB RAM card from Lenovo for about $180. What's to keep me from having them install a 1GB card and then having a second 1GB card installed once I get it?

Am I comparing apples to oranges here?

That is usually the cheapest and reccomended route if you want to save some money.
