    Hey guys,

I'm just wondering what the minimum requirements are to get Rapidboot running.

Lenovo claims 10 seconds, but I get around 30-45 (which, from what I've read seems to be the non-rapidboot speed)

I've also read that you need Lenovo Enhanced Experience 2.0 running for RB to take effect.
On my clean-install, I just installed the necessary drivers, fingerprint, OSD, and Power manager software. Along with Rapidboot. Do I need the entire ThinkVantage suite to get it to work?

Edit: I know that it's unlikely that I'll get it down to 10 seconds, but I'm wondering if others have gotten it down noticeably, and what they had to do.

rapidboot does not make the os boot faster, but prioritizes program launch (or init) order.
that 10 second claim is after the bios, not including
with a ssd, i get about the same, no rapidboot

in my experience, with the ssd, rapidboot made the computer "ready" later rather than sooner

in hdd systems, that prioritizing will (does) make a difference, though.

and lenovo's swift boot times are PRIOR to the gazillion windows updates. when I set up my W7 computers, they're always ~25sec boot (incl. bios) and the updates add another good 10 seconds.

if rapidboot installed right, it's likely working right

That depends. Are you on an SSD or HDD?

I'm on an HD, still hoping that mSATA's get bigger/cheaper (either or). But I'd really like an SSD. (I've been considering getting an Ultrabay HD caddy and SSD)

In any case, I'm perfectly happy with my computer, runs quick enough. I just wish there was a way to image it after a clean install without having to run a ton of updates whenever I restore.
