Has anyone re-pasted their YOGA? Is it even possible or necessary? I'm tempted by the 1050 model and I'm just exploring all options.
    Thanks.

I just repasted my Yoga 720. I used Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on the CPU and that helped. I used Thermal Grizzly Aeronaut on the GPU and that made it slightly hotter, go figure.
I will be uploading a video soon on my channel www.youtube.com/ownordisown

Good to know, I'm getting my rig this weekend and maybe will attempt the repaste on my own. I wish there was someone in NYC 'cough @Mobius 1' that would help me out though. But I'm sure I'm capable.

Yes, I've already repasted the Yoga and gave it the liquid magic treatment.

Is it worth it? If done correctly, yes. I did get a pretty nice temp drop.

I'll also be releasing a review on the Yoga....stay tuned...

Yes, most probably. I only had a little bit left and since the CPU was the hottest I did that. Hopefully the Aeoronaut on the GPU will settle in. Still below 90 degrees. But at least the CPU now can run at full speed (with an undervolt as well) so I'm happy.
Its the fans, they don't spin fast at all and I have been trying to find away to manually change them. Speedfan doesn't show the fan speeds at all, neither does HWinfo64. I tried amending the ini file on HWinfo64 to bring up fan control and that didn't work. Any ideas?

Or cut the pwm line on fan cable...

Thanks Mobius 1, unfortunately NBFC didn't work either. Not a big deal. The undervolt and liquid metal keep the CPU in check

Looking forward to it mate. I upload mine tomorrow. I like it, I still like my Surface Book better as it is so portable but I do like the 4k screen and it games fairly well.

there's a tutorial on how nbfc needs to probe your computer first before it can control fans

Picked mine up at Bestbuy today. Super sweet. I love it. I was going to do a clean install but there doesnt seem like there is much if any 'bloatware'. Whats the conscience here on doing one?

Yes, I wouldn't bother with a clean install. There are only like 3 apps installed I think. The rest you chose when doing the set up. The app that limits battery charging to 60% might be useful for long gaming sessions.
    Glad you got one!
I'll be uploading my repaste video soon too.
