My question mark/slash (? /) key came off with the retaining clip still attached to the underside of the key cap. Is there a secret to reattaching it to the keyboard? I tried to simply press it back on but the top half of retaining clip does not want to snap onto the keyboard and stay locked in.

Getting the clip back in properly - presuming it's undamaged to begin with - is a royal PITA the level of which will somewhat depend on the manufacturer of the particular keyboard.

I'm pretty sure there are some guides on youtube...

    Good luck.

It has a light blue raised"dot" in the center of the key location on the keyboard.

Thanks. I tried but was unsuccessful in my attempt to reattach it. It doesn't really matter though as my keyboard is hosed from the washing.

the numbers row (1, 2, 3, 4,...) and the row below it (q, w, e, r, t...) have melded together. Press the 1 key and I get q1 on the display. Press the q key and I get q1 and so on...w2. There's a bunch of other keys that give me two characters as well with a single keypress.

Off to find a used keyboard on ebay.

You can use the keyboard from any of these models:

    R60/e, T60/p, Z60m, Z60t

    R61/e, T61/p, Z61e, Z61m, Z61t

    R400/500, T400/500, W500

    Happy hunting.

There are a ton of them out there. Are there particular ones known for the best tactile feel?

    It's a matter of one's preference really.

I'd say that majority of the old-time-users prefer NMB keyboards, although I personally like the ALPS better when it comes to T6x series keyboards.

    Good luck.
