A few months ago, my Thinkpad fell off my bed onto the floor and one of the hinge locks on the palm rest broke. I called the replacement/maintenance number and they sent me a new palm rest. The shipping was lightning fast! I called yesterday around early afternoon and I got it on my doorstep today before noon. The best thing was is that I got the new palm rest with the old IBM logo. I am very pleased. I prefer the old IBM logo anyways. So if you want an old IBM logo palm rest, and you still have a warranty, give tech support a call.

Heh, I specified an FRU to them in order to receive my palmrest with the old logo. They'll punch in an FRU for you if you give one to them.
