I haven't opened the box though. (really scared of 15% restocking fee)

    - Both order information and shipping info state what i ordered ATI FireGL 256mb. a T60p standard configuration

    - The packing invoice and outside of box state ati rad x1450 128mb.

Does this happen often? I am debating whether to send back because of samsung screen anyway.

I think it does; i remember reading of someone else being in the same stink. it was just a labeling error. but to play it safe i would open any way and fight like hell if it was the wrong card. and i would not send that machine back until i received the right order. And of course i would dispute the charge as always. Always buy with a CC not your bank card.

Thats because your bank card represents your real money (as if t were comming out of your pocket and handing it over to me physically). But when you use your CC, you are in agreement with the CC company not the vendor. Also, there are many advantages because...
    * your not using your money to buy anything (visa, masterC, amex) are the buyers (and believe me, they have a lot of buying power). that also means they are responsible to solve all the problems if there are any in the sale.
    * they have alot of power over vendors when it come to disputes. (vendors are obliged because they have to accept CC's if they want to compete in the marketplace)
    * CC companies provide additional warranty coverage on electronic items
    * you can denie any purchase on your account up to 90days and you will not be held responsible. (if it's legitimately fraud of course)

It all boils down to a question of liability, if it isn't my money then i have nothing to worry about.

I am not an expect but this is my rudimentary understanding as to why i should always use my credit card as opposed to my bank card.
Sorry about Hijacking this tread in advance.

Wait till Monday to give Lenovo a call, ask a customer service representative what you should do.

Oh well, what the heck. Might as well go ahead and open it up and take a look at what kind of video card is really in there. If it's the wrong video card, you can always return it.

Just open it. And sue them anyway for emotional distress at seeing the wrong sticker.

How about going to lenovo.com and entering your laptop type, serail # and seeing what it says the computer came configured with. It is possible the sticker might be in error. If the website and sticker don't match then you got a problem. I don't remember x1450 as being an option for the t60p at least it wasn't when I got mine. It should be a Fire GL v5200 series. If they do match then most likely you got a x1450 send it back. If there is a conflict then call them tell them the discrepency.

I had both, my first T60 had the LG and was returned due to a dead pixel. I waited to send it back until I got my replacement T60 which had the Samsung screen. When put side by side the only difference I could notice was that the samsung had more of a blue hue to it, silvers has more of a blueish color to them than the silvers on the LG, sorry I can't think of a better way to describe it. Both also had a fair amount of light leakage can't say one had any less than the other though. I have had the Samsung for a few weeks now and other than a few stuck pixels (which became unstuck pretty quickly) I have had no problems.

I remember reading a post just like this a few weeks back (I tried to find it but could not) The guy had the same problem and it turned out that just label was wrong and the correct video card was indeed in the laptop.

I say open it and see, then you can also check out the samsung screen for yourself to see if it really warrants a return, and waiting another month for a new laptop.

i remember seeing that same posting as you undacovabrotha

id say call them and ask about it. if they say you have the correct screen/ vid card ask if you can open the box without fear of restocking fee then open it.

I see you got the 160gb drive. There's been rumors that this part is the cause of long delays. How long did you have to wait til yours shipped?
