Figured to make a new thread about the shipping of IBM/Lenovo and recieving my notebook.

Just got it yesterday, and everything seems to be fine. Fairly sturdy, no loose or creaky hinges, very well built. Not sure if I was supposed to get a reboot cd or anything; but the package came with the cords to charge.

But the reason I made this thread was because of the concern of shipping. It seems to me that others have had fairly bad problems when waiting for their notebooks... and I think i've found why. [If you guys/girls already know this then just ignore haha  ] But most of the orders end up going to the Louisville Kentucky hub, being that it handles most of the international orders. The invoices get all messed up and another one has to be sent from HK all the way to Louisville. I think that may be why one day shipping really doesn't matter because of the invoice. I found most of this info. from this thread at a forum I stumbled upon [google does wonders] http://ask.metafilter.com/mefi/25877

I also called UPS and they were very helpful as well. I'll keep updated with info about the notebook as I test it out. Haven't had time due to class.

You must burn off the recovery discs.
