    Damn this thing is nice!

I got the WSXGA 15.4 and I don't really know what ppl are talking about the screen being crap. It looks just as bright as my dad's sony, but the text is more matte like. I don't know if its Samsung or LG but it looks nice and bright.

My only con is that the bottom right corner is less bright, the very edge of it. Sunk or something..in anycase I don't even notice it now.

The build quality is miles above my dad's Sony or my Macbook. Also it never gets as loud as the macbook, even when playing Sins of the Solar Empire.

Speaking of which, I am running 4GB Vista 64 and I have to say I am pissed that there are constant crashes with Sins on all highest settings. If anyone knows a fix please tell me.

Anyway, so far no cons this thing runs beautifuly. Although Lenovo seriously needs to update the style of the T series. My mom came in and said it looks like something from the former Soviet Union.

If anyone wants pics of the screen I can post them.

I think it could be because of your video drivers on the crashing. Other than that enjoy the beautiful machine.

" My mom came in and said it looks like something from the former Soviet Union."

I'm beginning to agree with that. It's a wonderful performing machine but that all black will pull your eyes out.

    Non-black ThinkPads? Perish the thought!

Glad to hear you like your new ThinkPad, though, it's a tough, performing machine.

Heresy! The Thinkpad look is classic and straightforward, without random plastic crap.

On the other hand, it certainly doesn't look quite as beautiful or snazzy as other designs, like the MacBook or a glossy sheened Asus.
