Or you could just look up the specs based on the machine type/model. It might even be on a page that comes up as the first hit on a certain major search engine.

Yep and I don't trust a lot of that because when I search, I often get different pictures of the "same" model. Also, the specs are easy as they are always listed, it's the location of the ports that's important to me and very often, it's not shown...

I believe you linked to a Thinkpad Edge E420s (note that that's different from the E420). LaptopMag has a review of it with 360 degree pictures that show the entire port layout. And the pictures are definitely legit.

Left: power, CD drive, media card reader
Right: always-on USB, USB, HDMI, headphone/mic combo port
Rear: tray for SIM card, Ethernet, USB/eSATA combo port, VGA

I don't remember now but yes, I think it was some 420 but since the site is not up right now, I can't tell but is it not reasonable to expect that the manufacturer should have a decent amount of pics of one product and that I shouldn't have to go to third party sites or other places to find things out?

    Thanks by the way

Well, they do, both on their main site and in the PSREF.

    Oooh, cool, thanks.

Well, I went by a best buy today and although I didn't find anything from the E series, I found a V570 and I think a Y series computer and you guys are right, not very impressive screens.

    Thanks
