I ordered the T61 with 14.1"+camera, 100GB 7200rpm, 2GB Ram, BT, card reader slot, 0Intel 802.11a/b/g/n, DVDRW DL, 4 cell battery. My plan is to use this as my desktop replacement (rarely travel except if you consider being in different rooms of my house as travel hehe).

So what does most of the forum-ers (is that a word?) recommend as must have accessories? I have already bought the RF keyboard and mouse that will allow me to use the slideout of my comp table so my wrists are at the right height.

Any others? Ultrabay battery maybe ? But since the comp is always connected to the AC adaptor maybe not. Any others?

I think the advanced mini dock would be nice since. You could use it to hook your laptop up to an external keyboard, mouse, printer, monitor... etc. Then easily undock to go from room to room.

Ultrabay battery. Kind of a waste I think. So you might get another hour of battery life, but you are in your house so you should be around plenty of AC outlets. If you want to use that Ultrabay for something else how about another hard drive? You can have two hard drives in your laptop by using the SATA ultrabay hard drive adapter.

IMO a good cooling pad with a USB hub will be more worthwhile and cheaper. I had a dock with my D420 and I will get a dock with my X61t replacement (bundle) however I think Ill just ebay it. Working with a warm palm rest really annoys me.

    Creative Audigy 2 ZS Notebook.

Got one of these a few days ago... Amazing. I was actually quite happy with the built in sound card, until I heard this one. I'll never go back! :D

EDIT: Like you, I don't take my notebook many places - mostly around my house. The Audigy notebook card sticks out the side of the laptop about 1 inch. It would be a pain if you want your notebook to be super portable. I can picture it getting broken if you smacked it on something. It doesn't bother me personally, but some people might find it annoying. I also have the 6 cell battery which sticks out the back. Again, it doesn't bother me, but some people don't seem to like it...
