This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    looks nice ... but $400.00 for a 4 year old laptop? I'm not so sure.

    Stay clear. To many flexing issues with the system boards. If you do get it make sure it comes with a decent warranty because you can't return that machine!

    I would pass on the T40. I use a T40 for work, and the usb ports failed. The system board was replaced, and shortly after the usb ports failed again. Now they will only operate as usb 1.1. This is definitely a hardware problem, not software.
