I have a T23 with Win 2000 Professional although I came with XP Profesional. In using the "record now" software for burning it has in the past worked ok but still would prompt that there was an error in writing. Now it will not write at all and prompts that the writing speed is not either fast enough or slow enough. This is a 16X CDRW/DVD. I have changed the speed settings to all selections manually including "do not restrict the speed" setting with no successful burning. Is there a flaw in this software? I have dusted and air cleaned the drive, used new disks etc with the same result.
I loaded Nero but it doesn't recognize this drive for its application.

    Any suggestions!

Did you try uninstall/re-install software, update drive firmware and/or ide drivers. CDBurner XP is pretty good burning software and its free. Don't know if it supports your drive, but it burned CDs and DVDs in my NEC ND-5500A. Hope this helps
