    Recovery Disks for T400

    I've heard that Lenovo doesn't send recovery disks with their computers. I am expecting my T400 in the next few days. It doesn't have a DVD burner. Do i need a dvd burner to make the disks? What should I do?

    Well you can stock up on cd-r's :)
    It would of been easier with the dvd-r

    If you can borrow an external one to make them, you'll get a lot less discs.

    Yea..you can use CD's, but it will be 12 or 13 total.

    DVD's are much much better if you could get your hands on a DVD burner.

    If you call Lenovo customer service and tell them there is a software glitch that is not allowing you to create recovery disks, the solution they should recommend will be sending you prepackaged disks under your initial warranty. Use this information to you advantage.
