Okay so turns out the z61t I bought today's recovery partition was hosed. I would like to get it back to factory settings. Is the easiest way just ordering the disc from Lenovo? I don't mind paying for them. Will they also recreate a recovery partition? I know the HP discs will recreate the recovery partition.

Yes, the Lenovo Factory Recovery disks restore to exact factory state, including the recovery partition.
