The hard disk on my T61 (XP-Pro) has failed and I am going to have to install a new disk. I have a Rescue and Recovery DVD, but I seem to recall references here to multiple disks. Does the R&R DVD have the complete operating system? What about the ThinkVantage stuff? Naturally, the machine shipped with all that pre-installed, and I am concerned that I don't have everything I will need to restore the system.

    Thanks.

There should be more than one disc.

Thanks ZaZ, I was afraid of that. Well, I only have the one and I don't recall having made more. I must have screwed up somehow.

So now what do I do?

If Lenovo support insist on charging you for the recovery disks you could get them at a better price from here.
