I recently bought a r61 and there is a red pixel on the screen only when it's loading and on the desktop, but it's not there when applications are running. can anyone tell me what this is a dead pixel or something?

    It's probably a stuck pixel.

If you get a stylus or something similar, place a thin towel on top of the screen, and then massage that spot, you might get rid of it.

Search NBR for 'fix stuck pixels' for more solutions.
