I am trying to get my computer back up to speed. I would like some, but not all of the Lenovo software. For example, I don't want the redundant wireless managers, but the battery software and the software that pops up when you press the ThinkVantage button is useful. I also installed the switchable graphics drivers but I have no way to actually switch them...

    Any help?

You should also install drivers for the TrackPoint (especially if you like Standard vs. smooth scrolling) and the active protection system (stops the hard drive if your system is dropped).

I think you would also be well served by the on screen display driver and Presentation director (far better than Windows default if you use lots of display configurations). Access connections is also good if you have lots of different connection options that you use regularly.

Why would I need the active protection for an SSD?

I didn't really want their wireless manager but I ended having to install it to be able to configure bluetooth.

    Thanks.
