    Hey Guys,

I just received my x200 and I am loving it. However, it came with Vista Home and I would really like to install xp on it instead. So I tried installing XP from a USB thumb drive and while it is in setup, it does not see any of the partitions on the hard drive. The only partition it see is my thumb drive. Am I doing something wrong here?

You need to change the SATA config in the BIOS from AHCI to compatibility. An alternative is to slipstream the Intel SATA drivers into your XP install.

Thanks! I changed the sata config in my bios to compatibility and everything worked; however, after the installation process i went back into the bios and changed it to AHCI. After changing it back to AHCI in the bios, I keep getting the BSOD everytime I try to boot into windows.

Do I just leave it at compatibility? OR do I have to change some settings in Windows to revert back to AHCI?

You have to install the Matrix Storage Manager so you can switch it back to AHCI. Follow the guide in my signature.
