    I've been having a problem where I can't enable the "Fast User Switching" option on my R52. It was part of a scholarship, and it's a new computer. I hardly have anything of significance on here that it wouldn't take me a bit to reinstall everything, so I'm considering clearing the computer. How would I go about getting it back in the same shape as it was when I opened it up? There's no CD, but I understand I can use the IBM software? (I have XP Professional)

    You may have installed something that disabled the FUS service?
    Win+R -> services.msc
    Check if FUS is disabled.

    If all else fails, you 'go about getting it back in the same shape as it was when I opened it up' by clicking on the ThinkVantage button at bootup, the choose to Restore to Factory Settings. You can take it from there... :)
