I know several people who found setting refresh rates above 60Hz impossible in Windows XP.

In case anyone is wondering, it seems you can change the rate for an external monitor connected to te thinkpad: press Fn+F7 > "Manage Schemes" > edit "Dual Display" > "Display" tab > adjust frequency.

Seems like a rare feature, as I found a long article about how to get around the default 60hz found on all windows systems: http://www.videocardupgrade.com/monitor_refresh_rate_problem.shtml

Has anyone tried this with a CRT and noticed the effects?
