If anyone's interested in a refurbished, off-lease T60 with docking station, Woot® : One Day, One Deal? has them for $219.99 + $5 shipping. Be aware that the specs say the screen resolution is 1024 x 768 and that woot.com does not ship outside of the continental United States.

Here was a comment from someone who claimed to have done refurbishing inspections with ThinkPads before:

Deal is for today only (June 30th)

That docking station goes for about $175 new just by itself. This is my wife's exact work computer and it's pretty awesome. It's the reason I went for Thinkpad's when buying our family laptops.

The T60 uses a standard 2.5" SATA drive, so any 9.5mm drive will fit. I think the largest you can get size-wise is 750GB.

Looks like the perfect candidate for a QXGA display swap.

True, but used (which this is), it goes for a *lot* less.

    Will these take a C2D T9300?

no the T60 is Socket M machine, so T7600 is the max. But you can put in a UXGA LCD in that 15 inch chassis, and you have yourself a cheap T60p lookalike.

Unfortunately woot.com doesn't ship outside of the continental United States, sorry if I got anyone's hopes up.

Id think about a T61p because Lenovo transcended the 64 bit bridge on the T61ps and the T60 only goes to 3 MB of memory.

One of the good thing about the T61/p (only if the Nvidia GPU would not be as problematic is that it can support SATA2 and it also supports the 8 gigs, when you upgrade to the T9500 CPU, it would give the T500 or even T410/T510 with i3 CPU a run for their money.
