    Hello All,
I have inherited a IBM Think Pad T42 were the previous user tried to reinstall the OS. When I got it OS was installed but none of the drivers finished loading. I read that you can hit the "Access IBM" button during boot up and it will reinstall the OS Recovery Image. When I do this I am prompted for a password.

I dont believe it is the supervisor password because I can hit F1 when it is booting and get into the bios without it asking for a password. Infact it says the supervisor password is disabled. So I am at a lost at what password it is asking for and how to get around it. Any help would be a blessing.

    Thanks,

    AK

Tried a blank password? "admin"? You may be able to reset the password from inside the BIOS somehow, too. Check around in there. I'm moving this to the IBM forum as it's really IBM specific, and not really Windows.
