Hey guys, I just placed an order for a W530 with Windows 8 Pro. I'm planning on installing windows 8 on my Samsung 830 ssd when I get the machine but I can't find the iso download file like I could for Windows 7. Does anybody know where it is? Thanks.

You can get "the iso" only with an MSDN/Technet/Dreamspark account. Other than that there are no legal sources that I am aware of.

But you can of course just create backup DVDs with the Lenovo Tool and reinstall the backup on your SSD.

^^^ Warning: Don't format your hard drive before installing Windows 8. Your current version of Windows must be running when you begin installing Windows 8.

    That's what it says.

The download from the link provided does an in-place upgrade, not a clean install on a bare drive.

there is rule for noobs who actually never listen to it.

If you don't know how then do not do it!

Write here when you receive laptop. Then find the proper Windows install step-by-step guide for your laptop. Look if you really want to do a clean install (long boot times, performance wise etc). And by that time you still need it I am sure you will get the answer here.
