I'm wondering whether to use the ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery software for regular scheduled backups.

Does anyone have any views on its reliability or usability?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions/advice.

    Bump. Anyone?

I'm wondering in particular I might not just be better off using the backup software in Vista Home Premium.

If you've got the extra discs to spare, back it up using both methods. I did my R & R right out of the box, then used Vista Business's backup feature after tweaking the system.

    There's safety in reduncancy :p

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I've already done the Creative Recovery Media routine onto optical disks.

I'm more concerned with regular scheduled backups on, say, a daily basis onto a USB hard drive.

Does it make sense to rely on the ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery software for this? Or should I use the backup software that comes with Vista Home Premium in its Backup and Restore Centre?

Which alternative makes more sense in terms of reliability/ease-of-use?
