So I just got myself a nice new SSD. It was working great...then I decided to put a boot up password on the disk (via the BIOS). Well regardless of me entering the right password the SSD can no longer be read, not even visible to the FW update app for it. The freakin BIOS has the option greyed out to change the pass or disable it for this disk only!

What can I do about this?! In case it helps this is on an X200...

In case it can help others in the future...

I re-flashed the firmware on the SSD since it wipes the disk during an update. I already had latest version, but it ran regardless and cleaned the disk. Not sure why I can't enable a pass on an SSD but I wont be trying it again!
