    Hello everybody!

Recently I ordered a T61 with a media card reader and I was wondering if it was possible to remove it once I receive the laptop (whenever that may be!).

I am not a tech person so I do not really know if this reader can be just removed allowing me to introduce any other express card or if I need to add any other piece of hardware…

Thanks in advance for your comments!

The options are media card slot or express card slot. You didn't order an express card adapter for media cards. It would involve a hardware change: swapping the PCMIA/media card slots for PCMIA/express card slots.

You can call Lenovo and adjust your order, they won't ship it for a while

So what does the media card slot option offer? Is it an adapter for a media card reader or is the built in slot able to read memory modules like SD cards?
Sorry, but I have owned PowerBooks too long now and this will be the first laptop in a long while that had these slot options.

    Thanks for all your responses!

    Now in relation to your:
Wouldn't that push my ESD all the way back to the end of the line?
I have read all around that Lenovo reps state that once a PO is placed and the order is sent to production (as mine or at least that's what Lenovo says!) no changes are allowed...

I don't know if you feel me but the least I'd like to do is to introduce further delays to my shipping date due to PO changes...

    Once more thanks!
