Does anyone have info on how to do this or how difficult it is? I just bought a brand new T60p 15" and the fan constantly makes this high pitch whining sound. I called warranty and they said I had two choices. Either send the laptop in to have them look at it, or they could send me a new fan that I would have to install. I have no experience taking apart laptops and was wondering how difficult this would be. This noise is annoying me so much I need to either fix it or get rid of the laptop.

There are maintenance instructions on the lenovo website. I'm not sure how much you have to take apart, but it should show you how to do it.
