I bought a T410 from Outlet.Lenovo , the thing is that I don't like heavy laptops(I wanted a x200 at first but things didn't work out), Now I'm thinking of removing the optical drive for ever as I don't need it, to make the notebook lighter. It may sound crazy, I know! I think it will look ugly that way, right, you think I can put a lid or something in place of that? does it make the notebook lighter at all?! :D

    Travel Cover!

By the way does it make any considerable change? weight-wise or regarding the battery usage?

weight wise it is about 200 grams for the ultrabay optical drive, battery wise depending on the power plan it can save about 5 to 10 minutes.
