This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I thought I saw a guide to this on this site but I can't find it now. Can someone point me to it or did I see this somewhere else?

    Unecessary processes? You mean like services.

    Windows Indexing / Windows Search and Superfetch are the two worst ones, and should be disabled.(Assuming you use a different search tool to replace the Search.)
